This notice applies to residents of California and explains your right to opt out under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. If you live elsewhere and have a similar right under your local law, you may use the same process and we will apply it.
1.What sell and share mean here
Under California law, selling means disclosing personal information to a third party for money or other valuable consideration, and sharing means disclosing it to a third party for cross-context behavioural advertising, whether or not money changes hands. These definitions are broader than the everyday meaning of the words.
Marketing Hub Media does not sell your personal information for money in the everyday sense. However, two activities on this site may count as a sale or a share under California law, so we treat them as though they do and give you the right to opt out of both:
- Sponsored gated content. Where you complete a form to download a sponsored report, whitepaper or research asset, we pass the details you submitted to the sponsor named on that form, who may contact you.
- Advertising technologies. Where you consent to advertising cookies and similar technologies, information about your device and browsing may be shared with advertising partners to deliver and measure advertising.
2.What we do not do
We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted without an opt-out under California law.
3.How to opt out
Option 1 - opt out of advertising cookies on this site
Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page on marketinghubmedia.com and switch off advertising cookies. This applies to the browser and device you are using at the time. If you clear your cookies or use a different browser, set your preference again.
Option 2 - use an opt-out preference signal
We honour the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or extension sends a recognised opt-out preference signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser, and you do not need to do anything else.
Option 3 - send us a request
Email info@marketinghubmedia.com with the subject line Do Not Sell or Share. Tell us the email address you use with us so that we can find your record. We will action your request and confirm when it is done.

5.Verifying your request
So that we do not act on a request from the wrong person, we may ask you to confirm details we already hold, such as the email address associated with your subscription. We use the information you give us for verification only. If we cannot verify you to the standard the law requires, we will tell you why.
6.Authorised agents
You may use an authorised agent to make a request for you. We will ask the agent for written proof that you have given them permission, and we may ask you to confirm directly that the agent is acting for you.
7.How long we take
We confirm receipt of a request within ten business days and respond substantively within forty-five calendar days. If we need more time we will tell you before the first period ends, and we will not take longer than ninety days in total. Opt-out requests are actioned within fifteen business days.
